A dog is a man’s best friend and they deserve our love. However, there aren’t many places which strictly celebrate their existence. But a museum dedicated especially to these canines has come up in Manhattan in New York. In midtown Manhattan, the American Kennel Club’s Museum of the Dog opened on Friday and it contains a smorgasbord of works of varying aesthetic ambition, showing dogs of different breeds in different moods.

The museum’s opening time has been chosen wisely as an annual mid-winter canine fest started with the start of Westminster Week where dog lovers from around the world came to Westminister Dog Show to showcase their pet on Tuesday night.
