PSG to face Al-Nassr in friendly this month

RMC Sport report this afternoon that Paris Saint-Germain will face Al-Nassr in a friendly match later this month, the game having been scheduled as part of the league leaders’ midseason tour of Saudi Arabia last year which was cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns.

The match, which was a contractual obligation on the Parisians’ part, could well be the final meeting between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Portuguese forward having signed a lucrative deal to join the Riyadh-based club after leaving Manchester United before the World Cup.

The exact date of the fixture is not yet known, but should be finalised in the coming weeks. PSG play another three games – two in the league, one in the cup – before a mid-month break. Al-Nassr, who are managed by Rudi Garcia, feature a number of ex-Ligue 1 players including David Ospina (Nice), Álvaro González (Marseille), Luiz Gustavo (Marseille), Ghislain Konan (Reims) and Vincent Aboubakar (Lorient).
