— Kevin Owens has been battling a back injury for the last couple of weeks and on Smackdown this week, WWE ran a left leg injury angle that is likely going to figure into the story of his Royal Rumble match on Sunday.

— It’s possible Owens will only be involved in the match on a limited basis due to his back but it will instead be explained that it is leg that would be affecting his performance.

— Jason Jordan’s injury – unspecified so far – also appears to be due to a bad back. He is expected to wrestle at Royal Rumble with Seth Rollins, possibly to drop the titles to Sheamus & Cesaro. The company has begun a dissention type storyline between Rollins and Jordan that is expected to be furthered over the next few weeks and likely culminate at WrestleMania.
