As previously reported, WWE Champion A.J. Styles was not booked for the WWE live events this past weekend. “The Phenomenal One” has not wrestled a match in three weeks, as his last match took place at the May 22nd SmackDown Live television tapings. He worked a post-show dark match main event against Shinsuke Nakamura.

It’s worth noting that Styles has not been booked for recent SmackDown Live house shows, and is not scheduled for the show this Saturday night in Dubuque, Iowa, one night before the WWE Money In The Bank 2018 pay-per-view.

While he is scheduled to work the MITB PPV against Nakamura, Styles is not scheduled for any matches outside of potential bouts at television tapings, as he is only scheduled for one house show, this Monday’s event in Fort Wayne, Indiana, until the WWE event in Tokyo on June 29th. After that, he is advertised to return to his regular WWE road schedule.
