If you have noticed that Gran Metalik and TJP have not been around much lately, Pwinsider.com reports that the company sent both of them home due to the fact that the creative team just has not had anything for them. Instead of paying to have them fly around the country to arenas and do nothing, the company sent them home until the WWE can come up with a way to work them back into the mix.
If you remember, TJP defeated Metallik in the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament last year, with reported rumors of tournament favorite Kota Ibushi turning down a WWE contract before the finals. TJP (as TJ Perkins then) won the tournament and was the first holder of the revived WWE Cruiserweight Title. This started the 205 Live! shows that still airs on the WWE Network. Since the tournament, Metallik has been appearing more of WWE Main Event than making regular cruiserweight appearances, and TJP spent much of that time as a sidekick to Neville, who has since left the company. With rumors being tossed around about separate branded 205 Live! live events, it is not expected that these two will be away for very long.
