MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team will return to Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon to host No. 19 Upper Iowa at 2 p.m. Live video will be available on msumdragons.com.
The Dragons are coming off a 27-12 loss to Augustana on Jan. 17 that saw the Dragons win three matches, including sophomore Seth Hutchison winning via fall at 133-pounds, redshirt freshman Evan Foster winning a 9-8 decision at 184-pounds and sophomore Jordan Magnuson winning a 2-1 decision in overtime at 285-pounds. With the loss, the Dragons fell to 2-6 overall and 2-2 in NSIC competition.
Foster leads the Dragons with a 21-12 record, the only Dragon thus far to win 20 or more matches. Sophomore Cole Jones is right behind him with a 19-7 record, along with redshirt freshman Mason Schulz (17-15) and freshman Braydon Ortloff (16-10). Senior Adam Blees is 12-8 at 174.
Head coach Kris Nelson is in his 10th season as head coach of MSUM. He is assisted by Blake Bosch (second season), Justin Solberg (third season) and Tyler Lehmann (second season).
About Upper Iowa
The Upper Iowa Peacocks bring a 5-4 overall record and a 2-1 NSIC record into the dual. Their last dual was Jan. 18 when they beat Southwest Minnesota State 25-8. Their lone NSIC loss came on Jan. 17 when they lost to No. 9 Minnesota State Mankato 18-17. After the MSUM dual they will travel to Sioux Falls to face Augustana on Sunday afternoon. Justin Folley is 24-4 and ranked No. 7 in the nation at 133.

The Dragons will be at home again on Jan. 31 when they host No. 1 St. Cloud State at 7 p.m. before heading to Marshall, Minn. to face Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 1 before wrapping up their regular season with a home dual against Minnesota State Mankato on Feb. 10 at 1 p.m.
