“We are very happy but the most important thing of this win is our classification for the FIVB World Cup”, said Brazilian libero Sergio Santos.

Brazil beat Argentina 3-1 in Cuiabá, Brazil, winning the Men´s South American Volleyball Championship`s title unbeaten. With the result Brazilians and Argentineans earned a berth for the FIVB World Cup set to be held in Japan from November 20 to December 4. It was the 28th title of Brazil in the history of the competition.

“We served well today”, Dante said. “It always good to beat Argentina. We have a great rivalry and we were playing at home”.

The Brazilian libero Sergio Santos won four individuals awards. He was elected the MVP, the Best receiver, Best digger and the best libero.
