The Fila x Rugrats Collection Is the ’90s Throwback You’ve Always Wanted

In what could be deemed the ultimate ’90s-inspired collaboration, Champs Sports and Fila have have teamed up with Nickelodeon on an exclusive Rugrats-inspired collection that proves you’re never too old to feel like a kid again.

Tommy, Chuckie and the rest of the gang make an appearance on three throwback sneaker styles for men and kids: the Original Fitness, Ray Tracer and Disruptor 2 (a popular dad sneaker style whose predecessor, in fact, was originally released in 1996). And just as you’d expect, the designs are supremely playful. The Original Fitness is finished in navy with subtle character detailing and red laces, while the vibrant red and green Ray Tracer features a tiny Reptar reaching for Fila’s logo on the side of the shoe. The Disruptor II stays true to its classic white aesthetic, but gets an update with the show’s opening credits design throughout.

Co-branded details are also splashed across the rest of the collection, which includes tees, hoodies and baseball caps.

“At Champs Sports we are constantly looking for new ways to tap into youth culture, through disruptive and innovative concepts,” said Jason Brown, vice president of marketing, Champs Sports. “With this exclusive Fila x Rugrats Collection, we are not only allowing devoted fans to celebrate one of the all-time greatest cartoons, but we’re collaborating with Fila, a brand that has had one of the greatest resurgences of late in fashion.”

The entire collection retails between $24 and $55 and is available for purchase in Champs stores and on the retailer’s website.

Considering the Rugrats will make their silver screen debut in a live-action movie set for 2022, we can’t think of a better way to get ready for the event than by rocking this quirky collection. Shop our favorites below and head to Champs.com to shop the entire collection.
