Parents were probably taking a nap when their 18-month-old son decided to go on an adventure all by himself. In New Zealand, a toddler went into the sea and had almost drowned when a fisherman caught hold of him, the AP reported.

The fisherman said that he thought a doll was floating past when he picked the baby up. The incident which took place on October 26 had Gus Hutt, the fisherman rescue the baby by his arm at around 7:15 am.

“His face looked just like porcelain with his short hair wetted down. But then he let out a little squeak and I thought ‘Oh god, this is a baby and it’s alive.’ he reportedly said.
