A few days ago police pulled out a 50-year-old woman from the funeral pyre at a village in Muzaffarnagar and booked the husband and four others for foul play. In a similar incident, another local resident from the state snatched a baby from the jaws of death.

The Times of India reported that Dharmendra Kumar heard a faint cry of a 20-day-old baby girl who was found buried alive near a pond in Jalalabad. He followed the girl’s sounds and reached the spot. He dug out the baby and then took her to a hospital.
