Africans are known for their sporting ability and their ability in the track and field events in sports competition across the world including the Olympic is indisputable. India has a tiny population of Africans living here for centuries and finally, it has decided to put them in proper use to enhance India’s chances of winning more medals at the Olympics.

The Siddis, an African origin tribe living around Gir forest were seen competing against one another to prove their sporting talent in Chitravad village near Talala town in Gir-Somnath district. The competition was organised by theSports Authority of Gujarat (SAG) in the first of its kind event to garner the talent of the children in theSiddi community.
