Rapes against children have increased by four fold between 1994 and 2016 and the most vulnerable section of the society-the children have been more vulnerable than ever before. The new report by given an alliance of six children-centric organisations reveals.

The report is prepared on the basis of National Crime Records Bureau data as it shows that cases of rapes against children in 1994 were 3,986 and in 2016, a total of 16,863 cases of child rape were recorded, news agencyPTI reported.
