This week Princess Charlotte had her first day of nursery school, where proud mom Kate Middleton snapped pictures of her smiling widely on a set of stairs, and it sounds as though she’s more than ready to handle it.

A source tells People that Princess Charlotte’s talkative personality is shining through as she becomes a first-time student.

“She’s very sweet and very confident—she’s always chatting away,” the source said. “[She] is so polite, but also fun and energetic … She has beautiful manners.”

It sounds like she will fit in just fine at Willcocks Nursery School, where one mother of a former pupil says the environment is “friendly and quiet.”

“They have a lovely time, and all the mothers are really positive about it,” the mother said.

Princess Charlotte is more than just confident though—she’s also academically talented.

Despite being 2 years old, she already speaks a second language. People reports that Princess Charlotte speaks some Spanish. Her royal nanny Maria Turrion Borrallo is from Spain.
