Bebe Rexha Stuns in a Showstopping Dress at the Grammys After Being Called ‘Too Big’ By Some Designers

Just weeks after revealing that certain unnamed designers wouldn’t dress her for the Grammy Awards because of her size, Bebe Rexha hit the red carpet in a showstopping gown by Monsoori.

The “Meant to Be” singer, who was nominated for two Grammys last night, showed off a plunging red dress with a glamorous tulle tiered skirt from the Middle Eastern label. “I wanted to go for a princess look,” she told “Entertainment Tonight.” Rexha accessorized with a sparkly necklace and drop earrings.

This comes after the 29-year-old took to Instagram to call out designers who wouldn’t dress her for being “too big.” “So I finally get nominated at the Grammys, and it’s like the coolest thing ever,” Rexha, who wears a size 6-8, said in a video. “A lot of times, artists will go and talk to designers, and they’ll make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet. So I had my team reach out a lot of designers, and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I’m too big.”

She told “ET” last night at the event in Los Angeles that it prompted a handful of major designers to send her possible designs. “I had Karl Lagerfeld, Jeremy Scott, Moschino, Christian Siriano and Michael Costello all send me stuff, and that was really awesome — I really didn’t expect that.”

Rexha also told Ryan Seacrest of her dress search: “I want to have a Cinderella moment. I want [the dress] to be so hard to walk in. I can’t believe that I am finally nominated for a Grammy, two Grammys! For me, this is my Cinderella moment.”
