After being stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road, a man allegedly slapped a traffic head constable and also bit his two fingers on the road near Ghanta Chowk in Surajpur area of Greater Noida. The accused Shailesh Kumar Sharma who is from Bulandshahr was arrested. The police said he stays in Noida’s Bhangel area in a rented accommodation.
The head constable, Kunwar Pal Singh filed a complaint. According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 9:40 am when the head constable was on duty at Ghanta Chowk.
According to a complaint filed by the head constable, Kunwar Pal Singh, the incident happened around 9.40 am when he was on duty at Ghanta Chowk. “He came from Dadri side on a motorcycle, bearing registration number UP 13 AP 6239, and since there were barricades that prevented vehicles from moving towards Surajpur road, he took a wrong side turn that caused a traffic trail,” Kunwar Pal Singh Spoke to The Times of India.
Singh told that when walked up to the accused and took the keys of his bike, he got angry. “The accused got angry and grabbed my collar. He then slapped me and when I tried to resist, he bit the middle and index finger on my left hand,” Singh added.

The youth was then was held by bystanders and another traffic constable arrived after Singh asked for help. The police also found that the accused didn’t have any papers for his bike.
“He neither had a driving license nor any other documents ,like registration certificate or insurance. He probably attacked me in order to escape police inquiry,” said Singh.

A team from Surajpur police station arrived after head constable called the police.
The SHO of Surajpur police station, Muneesh Chauhan said that the accused has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC.
“The accused is unemployed. He was produced before a magistrate on Monday and has been sent to jail,” said Chauhan.
