If you have ever been to Gurguram, Haryana by road, you would know that traffic here is controlled by toll both operators and traffic police instead of traffic lights (though I have no clue why the government is paying 50 odd men to do the job of traffic lights!)
A shocking video is being shared on social media where a car can be seen dragging one of the toll booth officers for quite a stretch and then running away.
The incident of road rage was captured on a traffic CCTV camera, near the Gurguram toll booth Kheri Daula. Only last week the footage of a woman toll booth employ being punched by a man at this same booth did rounds on the internet.
A black sedan can be seen speeding in the video, with the attendant hanging on its bonnet, the man slows the speed down, lets the attendant get down but does not stop the vehicle. The person who was on the bonnet and some other attendants can be seen trying to stop the car but it sped away.
Don’t Miss
According to ANI, the driver in question was later arrested after a police complaint was filed. An investigation with the help of the CCTV footage is being carried out.
This area is infamous for attacks on toll booth operators by those drivers who do not pay toll.

On June 21st, CCTV recorded a woman being slapped by a driver at the Kherki Daula toll booth.
In April this year, ANI reported: ‘A car driver dragged a toll plaza employee on his car’s bonnet in Gurugram when asked to stop at toll plaza.Victim says, “Car driver dragged me for 5-6km on his car’s bonnet on a speed of about 100 km/hr. He said,’You’ll stop my car? Even police doesn’t stop my car.’
The Gurugram police latter commented on the tweet, informing about the FIR that has been registered in the came.
Such attacks within a span of a few days stand to prove that the safety of these toll booth operators is under threat because of rash and arrogant drivers. There should be stringent laws against road rage. Unless people are made to pay for their entitled behavior that leads them to treat these people disrespectfully, such cases will continue.
One also wonders why are these cases so common at this particular toll booth in Gurugram.
