Ligue 1 champions PSG remain in constant contact with Sevilla Sporting Director Monchi, according to our reliable colleagues at Culture PSG.
Contact was already established last year between PSG and Monchi, but he decided to remain at Sevilla for another season.
Since then, PSG have held the door open for Monchi, who was a primary target of theirs and who they intended to bring in at the same time as Unai Emery, and talks have recently restarted over a possible summer switch.

PSG Director of Football Patrick Kluivert’s (non-existent) transfer policy has come under considerable fire and the Dutchman is the closest member of Les Parisiens’ recruitment cell to the exit door at the end of the season, despite persistent rumours linking Olivier Létang away from the French capital, notably to AS Monaco.
The re-initation of contact with Monchi occurred a few days after PSG crashed out of the Champions’ League against Barcelona, following two long sit downs between PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi and manager Unai Emery, during which the latter individual stated his desire for the club to be better structured.
Both individuals agreed that Monchi could be the answer. Monchi himself has indicated in multiple interviews that he would like to work in France and especially in Paris, citing the quality of life in France as a major factor.
PSG have competition however from AS Roma, who have been in lengthy talks with Monchi about taking up a similar position with the Serie A club. Although negotiations are more advanced between Monchi and Roma than they are with PSG, his preference appears to lie with the Ligue 1 champions.
