Manchester United manager José Mourinho was pictured at the qualifying of the Monaco F1 Grand Prix yesterday, but returned home to London in time to be pictured in an Instagram photo with Michael Ballack this morning.

It would appear strange for Mourinho to decide to go to the Principality just to watch qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix and not even see the race.

Although there is no concrete information about the nature of his visit, it seems that his trip to where AS Monaco are based is no coincidence, especially after losing out to Manchester City for Bernardo Silva this week and being behind the Citizens in the race for full-back Benjamin Mendy.
