Olympique de Marseille have made an approach for Rubin Kazan midfielder Alexandre Song, according to France Football.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona man is currently earning a net salary of between €3m and €4m a year, according to the report, which is one of the things that is holding back Sporting Director Andoni Zubizarreta from making a concrete offer, having already spoken to the player personally.
