Layvin Kurzawa blackmailed over incriminating footage in which he speaks out against Didier Deschamps

PSG left-back and French international Layvin Kurzawa has reportedly been the subject of an attempted blackmail over an incriminating video.

In this video, the former Monaco man speaks out against France national team boss Didier Deschamps, according to the AFP and Europe 1.

Several blackmailers are understood to have demanded €200k from the Frenchman, so that the images were not leaked online. The video allegedly shows Layvin Kurzawa in a shisha bar with friends where he is seen making rude gestures about and speaking ill of French manager Deschamps. This footage was filmed on a mobile phone.

When Kurzawa was first threatened, he immediately contacted the police, who went undercover as intermediaries in order to force the blackmailers into a meeting.

5 individuals have been taken into police custody over the affair in the last 6 weeks, with two currently being held in a provisional detention centre.
