Ligue 1 side Rennes have appointed Sabri Lamouchi as the club’s new manager with immediate effect.

Lamouchi signs a two year contract with the option to extend into a third year. After a spell with the Ivory Coast, Lamouchi took charge of El Jaish from 2014.

The former Ligue 1 title winner with Monaco has been seeking a job in Europe for several seasons, and this foray with the Brittany side will be his first continental appointment.
