Ligue 1 side PSG have opened discussions with French international defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra about a possible January transfer move, according to Paris United and RMC.

The ex-Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Marseille man currently plays for Al Jazira, who want to rid of Diarra so that they can free up a foreign player spot in their squad for another individual that they have been in negotiations with.

Les Parisiens would like to sign Diarra for free, especially because of ongoing FFP concerns, but for the moment it is unclear whether or not Al Jazira will play ball.
