Yacouba Sylla has completed his move to Belgian club side KV Mechelen following a few years out on loan at various clubs, including Greek giants Panathinaikos.
Sylla, 27, has been at Rennes since 2015 when he signed from English club Aston Villa for a fee believed to be just under £1m, but his career at Rennes did not seem to take off as many felt it should have, spending two years out on loan at fellow Ligue 1 club Montpellier.
The Mali international had spent the past few months of this season out on loan in Greece with Panathinaikos, but Belgian Pro League team KV Mechelen have swooped in and completed a deal to take him next door to his country of birth.

The fee is yet to be officially announced and with confirmation from FIFA waiting to be validated, the move is still technically in limbo, however all signs are pointing towards Sylla leaving Rennes and leaving France once again.
