L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims have made contact with 47-year-old ex-St Étienne manager Oscar Garcia, in a move that, if it were to come off, would result in the Spaniard’s 2nd experience in the French top flight after coaching St Étienne.
Garcia has been without a job since November 2020 when he was sacked by Celta Vigo. Reims boss David Guion’s current deal runs until June 2022, but there is a renewed feeling around the club that now might be time for the pair to part ways.
If SDR decide to move on, Garcia could be offered a 2-year contract.
