PSG’s Xavi Simons sent home from international duty for breaking Covid-19 protocol

De Telegraaf and L’Équipe reports that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Xavi Simons has been sent home from the Dutch U19 team, along with four of his team-mates, for breaking Covid-19 protocol.

The 18-year-old is said to have been at the wrong place and the wrong time, as Ar’jany Martha of Ajax and Feyenoord’s Mimeirhel Benito invited a girl into their hotel room. Simons and two team-mates had reportedly gone into the room on hearing music from it, before finding themselves confronted by a member of staff and subsequently sent home.
