WWE Survivor Series Kickoff Show Results
November 19, 2017

– The pre-show panel for this monstrous two-hour long kickoff show is Renee Young, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Peter Rosenberg, and the “Heart Break Kid” Shawn Michaels. Charly Caruso is backstage in the WWE Social Media Lounge, and they’ve got Sam Roberts outside the arena interacting with fans.

– Becky Lynch gathered her troops backstage to give a rallying speech before the women’s Survivor Series match. Natalya showed up blowing a whistle, trying to hijack the meeting, but Captain Becky told her to cram it. Naomi brought up the collection of former champions on their team, Carmella put over Smackdown as the brand who got Money in the Bank, and Lana promised that Tamina Snuka will handle the power of Nia Jax.

– Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss was interviewed by the panel. She trashed Charlotte’s “touching moment” with her daddy on Smackdown, asking how many times we have to see Ric Flair trotted out. They streamed in Charlotte who said she wakes up every morning a Flair, and called herself the “Ironwoman of WWE”, questioning where Bliss was when they all got called up to change women’s wrestling. Alexa said she had beaten three of the Four Horsewomen, and there’s one left to send back to the stables. Awesome segment.

ELIAS vs. MATT HARDY

Ladies and gentlemen…Elias. The Drifter did a little singing and guitar playing before the match, trashing Houston as everything wrong with the United States. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The formerly Broken one started things out with a side headlock, taking his time and controlling the pace. Hardy hit a side Russian leg sweep as the first impact move of the bout before heading into a commercial break. Why do I have to watch commercials on the WWE Network that I already pay for? Upon returning Elias had taken over with a shot into the ring post, working his opponent over with big power moves. He connected with an interesting looking Angel’s Wings shoulder-breaker, but it wasn’t enough to put him away. Hardy mounted a comeback with stiff right hands and connected with a Side Effect. He dropped a leg off the second rope and lined up for the Twist of Fate, but Elias sent him flying into the post and delivered the Drift Away to pick up three.

Winner: Elias
