Backstage Update on Kevin Owens Sami Zayn WWE Heat

As noted, both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn garnered a considerable amount of backstage heat in WWE when they “went into business” for themselves at the WWE Smackdown TV tapings in Manchester, UK. The two were subsequently sent home from the remainder of the WWE overseas tour.

In an update on the situation, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting heat from the incident is gone as it pertains to Kevin Owens, but the same cannot be said for Sami Zayn.

Lio Rush’s NXT Status

When WWE released Emma back in late October, we noted then that NXT star Lio Rush made an ill-timed comment on Twitter which resulted in him garnering a tremendous amount of backstage heat.

The Wrestling Observer recently noted that while it might simply be a coincidence, Lio Rush has not been used on any NXT shows since he posted the controversial Tweet.
