– Mauro Ranallo and Percy Watson welcome us to this week’s edition of WWE NXT. On deck we’ve got the pirate princess Kairi Sane in action, and it’ll be champion vs. champion in tonight’s main event when Pete Dunne looks to get a measure of revenge on Roderick Strong.

KAIRI SANE vs. SHAZA MCKENZIE

We get a handshake before the bell but Sane isn’t messing around as she goes for an early roll-up and gets two. McKenzie connects with a forearm shot but the MYC winner laughs it off and brutalizes her opponent with a series of loud chops and strikes. She hits her sliding clothesline in the corner and comes off the top to take Shaza down. The Tokyo Slam connects and Sane heads up to the top rope once more, connecting with the Seven Seas to put this one away quickly.

Winner: Kairi Sane

– Lacey Evans makes her way to the ring and says a true lady knows when to admit that she is wrong. She apologizes to Kairi and admits that she does belong here in NXT, before extending her hand in an olive branch. Sane things about it, but before she can make her decision, Lacey smacks her in the face with the microphone to knock her out.

– We get to see footage of Tomasso Ciampa mauling Johnny Gargano last week, because apparently WWE doesn’t care about my emotional state and wants to make me as sad as humanly possible.

– Cathey interviews Candice LeRae backstage. Mrs. Wrestling says that 2018 hasn’t been an easy year, and she once considered Ciampa to be a member of their family. She doesn’t understand why he’s doing what he’s doing, and breaks down crying as she tries to talk about what happened last week with Johnny getting stretched out to the hospital.
