New Japan Pro Wrestling returned to the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California this Sunday night for a major event, streamed live on New Japan World. It turns out, several top WWE names were among the faces in the crowd throughout the night.
Both current NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane, and top Mae Young Classic competitor and frontrunner Io Shirai – perhaps the two best women’s wrestlers in the world today – were spotted at ringside during Tetsuya Naito’s entrance.
NXT commentator Mauro Ranallo, who actually used to call NJPW for AXS TV prior to Jim Ross landing the gig, was also spotted in the crowd, according to a report from Fightful.com and several fans in attendance.

No big deal , just Kairi Sane and Io Shirai casually hanging out in the front row of this NJPW show while Naito makes his entrance… #njpwusa pic.twitter.com/tDTtFGfbNB
