Monday night’s episode of WWE Raw is the final show before SummerSlam, and WWE has added two more segments to the show.
In singles action, Alexa Bliss will face Natalya, and it has been announced that Ronda Rousey will be in Natalya’s corner for the match. The bout will join The B-Team defending the WWE Raw Tag Titles in a Triple Threat Match against Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt and The Revival.
WWE also announced that Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler will meet in the ring for a SummerSam Intercontinental Title match contract signing on Raw, and Drew McIntyre will flank Ziggler for the signing.
As for Brock Lesnar, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that although WWE has yet to announce him for the show, and he remains unadvertised by the company, at last word he was indeed scheduled to be at Raw along with Paul Heyman.
Below is WWE.com’s official announcement of the contract signing and singles match:
Even though Seth Rollins is facing Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, he’s essentially also competing against the imposing Drew McIntyre. Based on what happened in this past Monday night’s Handicap Match, not even The Kingslayer can beat those odds.
Live on Raw, Rollins will meet Ziggler (and McIntyre) for the contract signing that will make their title clash official. Will The Architect be able to repel a 2-on-1 attack if chaos erupts once the ink dries?
Despite her interference in last week’s main event, Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss watched in horror as Ronda Rousey — competing for the very first time on Raw — made Alicia Fox tap ferociously to her excruciating Armbar, sending a painful message to The Goddess before their title match at SummerSlam. This week on Raw, Little Miss Bliss will take on The Baddest Woman on the Planet’s friend Natalya as both Rousey and Fox look on from ringside.
Will Rousey enter the fray and get her hands on the Raw Women’s Champion before The Biggest Party of the Summer, or will Ronda let The Queen of Harts handle business in the ring?
