WWE star Daniel Bryan was a guest on the most recent episode of “The Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast”, and during the appearance, Bryan clarified his WWE contract status.
Bryan noted that he has not yet signed a new WWE deal, but added the following, h/t to Pro Wrestling Sheet for the transcription.
“I think at this point it’s 90-plus-percent. I would say it’s likely I will sign with WWE,” Bryan said.
“I have not re-signed yet, but it could happen as soon as the end of this week, and it might be a couple more weeks or whatever it is,” he added.
Bryan’s current WWE deal expires on September 1st, and while speculation was that Bryan could appear at “ALL IN”, with Bryan’s contract not expiring until midnight on the night of the event, it seems very unlikely he will appear. Bryan is scheduled to face The Miz at this Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam PPV.
