— Josh Matthews and Don Callis welcomed us to the Rebel Complex in Toronto, Ontario for the penultimate episode before next week’s big Impact Wrestling Redefined television special.

IN-RING SEGMENT

Eddie Edwards came out with his kendo stick and admitted that over the last two weeks he has gotten his ass kicked. He laid down on the mat and talked about the virtues of getting back up and dusting yourself off, but there’s something just slightly “off” about him. He’s got a crazy look in his eyes.

Eddie said there wasn’t a man on the planet that could go through what he did with Sami Callihan and Tommy Dreamer, from taking a baseball bat, almost losing his eye, trying to murder a man in the woods and nearly losing his wife through all of it. He loves what he has become. He loves the punishment, and for the last few weeks he’s been having one very specific dream over and over again, and that’s taking his kendo stick and bashing in the skulls of Austin Aries and Killer Kross.

The Impact World Champion came down to the ring with his muscle behind him. Aries called Eddie “crazy” and said he had no chance of beating both of them, even with a kendo stick in his hands. In mid-sentence Eddie threw the stick at Kross’ face and blasted Aries with a microphone. He started throwing wild rights and lefts, but eventually the numbers game was too much. Kross put him in a chokehold as a heard of officials ran down to the ring, but Aries with a steel chair chased them all off. Aries returned and put a chair over Eddie’s neck, but Moose ran down to make the save.

— Eddie and Moose celebrated backstage together. Moose said that he always had his brother’s back, as Eddie ranted and raved like a crazy person about everything coming together for home. Alisha Edwards came up and thanked Moose for saving her husband out there. Eddie thinks they are back together, but she told him to calm down and left to go prepare for her match.

ZACHARY WENTZ vs. MATT SYDAL

Sydal tried to start slow with a series of headlocks, but Wentz flew off the ropes with a springboard corkscrew crossbody, then immediately connected with a suicide dive to his opponent who had rolled outside, taking a breather. Sydal took a cheap on the floor and once again tried to keep things slow with more grappling, but Zach wasn’t having any of it as he connected with a Slingblade into a running Shooting Star press for two. He went for it a second time, but Sydal got his knees up to block the hold, delivered a brutal set of jumping knee strikes, then hit a modified swinging neckbreaker to score the win.

Winner: Matt Sydal
