Mick Foley Celebrates as the Game Show ‘Jeopardy’ Includes WWE References

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently Tweeted a photo of an answer on the game show Jeopardy. The answer was WWE related and fell within the Pro Wrestling category. The answer included Foley’s infamous submission move, The Mandible Claw.

The inclusion of pro wrestling on Jeopardy likely comes as no surprise to fans. That’s largely because of the popularity the business enjoys, as well as the history behind it. This is especially true of WWE.

WWE was little more than just a pro wrestling company at one time. Vince McMahon Sr. ran WWE as a traditional promotion and usually kept his talents in that world. But when Vince McMahon Jr. took charge of the company, everything changed.

Vince wanted to take WWE in new directions. More specifically, he wanted to enter into American pop culture like no other pro wrestling entity had ever done before. He more than accomplished his mission.

Vince’s vision led WWE to heights previously unheard of for the pro wrestling business. WWE, as well as the Superstars that work for the company, are now household names. This is true not only in America, but all over the world.
