Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir Set To Make In-Ring Debut, Another Name Qualifies For #1 Contender’s Match

Four Horsewomen to Make NXT Debut

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have already made a huge impact in a very short period of time, with both women potentially poised to exit 2018 as WWE and NXT women’s champions, respectively. Next Wednesday night, the other two members of the Four Horsewomen of MMA — Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir — are set to make their in-ring debuts.

After interfering in several of Baszler’s title matches in recent months, the two MMA fighters-turned-WWE developmental stars will square off against Japanese sensation Io Shirai and Dakota Kai in tag team action. All four women have been working together during recent NXT Live tours to prepare for this bout.

Another Name Set For #1 Contender’s Bout

After scoring a victory over Reina Gonzalez this Wednesday night on WWE NXT, the “Blasian Baddie” Mia Yim has qualified for a spot in an upcoming Fatal 4-Way match to determine the new #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.

Yim will face off against Lacey Evans, Bianca Belair and one more name to be announced in the coming weeks, with the winner earning an opportunity to face Shayna Baszler for her title at NXT Takeover: Phoenix this January.
