After becoming an 8x Women’s Champion earlier this week, Charlotte Flair has fired back at ESPN for simply naming her as ‘Ric Flair’s daughter.’
Flair appeared on ESPN earlier this week alongside Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch to promote their upcoming WrestleMania 35 main event match. During that show, ESPN captioned each woman, with Lynch being named the Royal Rumble winner, Rousey the Raw Women’s Champion, and Flair simply being Ric Flair’s daughter.
Clearly, The Queen saw this and after defeating Asuka to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion she took the time to call ESPN out. Flair posted to them, stating that 7x (Now 8) Women’s Champion would have been enough, adding that ESPN could have looked at the various articles they’ve written about her, including last year’s body issue for other material.
Flair then wrapped it up by saying, Sincerely, Ric Flair’s Daughter, in a fantastic post.
Dear @espn
7x (now 8) WWE Women’s Champion would have been fine.
If you need a more detailed list of my accolades, feel free to reference last year’s Body Issue or one of the many articles about me on your website.
Sincerely,
Daughter of @WWE HOF’er Ric Flair
