WWE has announced the latest edition of NXT: TakOver. The event will take place on Saturday, June 1, though it’s unknown where it will take place.
Triple H is expected to make the location announcement using social media sometime on Monday, May 6. TakeOver has become a highly anticipated event for pro wrestling fans all over the world. Oftentimes, the TakeOver event outshines its WWE main roster counterpart and that may very well be the case on June 1.
The most recent TakeOver took place in New York on April 5 and featured what many fans believe is an early Match of the Year Candidate. That match saw Johnny Gargano defeat Adam Cole for the vacant NXT Championship.
The title was vacated by Tommaso Ciampa, who was forced to surrender the strap due injury. Also featured on the Takeover: New York card was The Velveteen Dream’s North American Championship win over Matt Riddle and Shayna Baszler’s Women’s Championship win over Bianca Belair, Io Shirai and Kairi Sane.
WWE has yet to announce the matches for the TakeOVer event, though that information is likely coming sooner, rather than later.
