A new report from PWInsider has shed some light on the situation surrounding Brian James, better known as Road Dogg, and his status as a backstage official in WWE.

Last month it was noted that James had stepped down from his position as the co-lead writer of Smackdown Live, a position he held alongside screenwriter Stephen Guerrieri, who mostly worked out of the WWE headquarters in Stamford.

PWInsider is now reporting that James has taken a position working full-time with the WWE NXT brand down in Orlando, and recently began working at the Performance Center. At this point it’s unknown what his official role is with the company.
