AEW Star Rey Fenix Injured

Rey Fenix suffered an injury on Friday night while working a tag team match against high-flying legends Juventud Guerrera and Teddy Hart.

During the bout, Fenix fell to the mat grabbing at his leg. He was quickly helped to the back while the others improvised a finish that saw Juventud pin Pentagon Jr.

While there were some erroneous early reports claiming the All Elite Wrestling star had broken his leg in the match, but there is no truth to that. There will likely be more details in the coming days, but right now what is known is that Fenix is able to walk on the leg, albeit gingerly.

For what it’s worth, Big Time Wrestling has confirmed that Fenix will still be wrestling at tonight’s show in Enfield, CT. We’ll keep you updated on that, as we are just one week away from the Lucha Brothers taking on the Young Bucks in a ladder match at AEW All Out.

Obviously losing another top marquee match on that card would be a huge hit to the promotion, as it was just confirmed on Friday that Jon Moxley has been pulled from the show due to a staph infection in his elbow.
