The @afnccf Family School is just one of the many ways the Anna Freud Centre is working to reduce the burden of mental health difficulties of children and young people. Children aged 5-14, unsuited or unable to meet the demands of mainstream school provision, can be referred to the school which combines mental health care and education in a setting in which a parent or significant adult family member participates in the classroom with their child. The Duchess of Cambridge first visited The Family School in 2015 and has since then visited the Centre’s Early Years Parenting Unit (EYPU), and met professionals and experts from the Centre through her Early Years work with The Royal Foundation and the ‘Mentally Healthy Schools’ initiative. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday. The photographs were taken in April by The Duchess at Kensington Palace and at their home in Norfolk.
