Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon are set to make their first defense of the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles.

WWE has announced that Blackheart & Moon will defend their NXT Women’s Tag Team titles against The Robert Stone Brand’s Aliyah & Jessi Kamea on NXT next Wednesday. Blackheart & Moon defeated Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez last week to become the second-ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Kai & Gonzalez were awarded the newly created NXT Women’s Tag Team titles last Wednesday but lost the titles to Blackheart & Moon later that night. Kai & Gonzalez were the winners of the inaugural women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, defeating Blackheart & Moon in the finals of the tournament.

The NXT Women’s Tag Team titles were created after an angle where WWE authority figure Adam Pearce helped cost Kai & Gonzalez a WWE Women’s Tag Team title match against Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler.

Blackheart & Moon took part in a backstage interview on NXT tonight but were interrupted by The Robert Stone Brand. Blackheart & Moon accepted Aliyah & Kamea’s challenge for an NXT Women’s Tag Team title match next week.

Kai & Gonzalez vs. NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai & Zoey Stark has also been announced for next week’s NXT. Shirai defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Gonzalez appears to be the direction for NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

Plus, NXT general manager William Regal said tonight that he’s demanding that Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly appear on NXT next week. Regal said he’ll have a solution to Cole and O’Reilly’s problems. There was an angle on NXT tonight where police got involved after O’Reilly tried to run Cole off the road.
