Former WWE & WCW Stars Backstage At Raw, Layla M.I.A., Dolph Ziggler's Return

— A number of familiar faces were backstage at last night’s Raw in Atlanta including Shannon Moore, Ranger Ross, Erik Watts, Alan Funk (a.k.a. “Kwee Wee”), Brad Armstrong and Dave Taylor, reports prowrestling.NET. There were also a few extras at the showing including former TNA Superstar David Young and NWA Anarchy’s Mikal Judas. They weren’t used.

— Conspicuous by her absence last night on Raw was Layla. She did not accompany new WWE Intercontinental Champion William Regal for his match against ECW Champion Matt Hardy and there was absolutely no mention made of her whereabouts on commentary. Layla accompanied Regal the week before in his title win over Santino Marella. Additionally, Layla was nowhere to be seen in “Stephanie McMahon’s Raw Superstar Forum” at the start of the broadcast, and practically every active Raw performer was present in the ring.

— Last night’s edition of Raw saw Dolph Ziggler make his return to WWE television. He was seen in the ring during “Stephanie McMahon’s Raw Superstar Forum,” made an appearance backstage while Shawn Michaels and Rey Mysterio made their way out to the ring for their tag match, and was one of the lumberjacks at ringside for the CM Punk vs. Randy Orton match. Ziggler was suspended for 30 days on Friday, October 10 as a result of his first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. Ziggler was eligible to return at last week’s Raw taping in England, but did not make the trip to Europe. Ziggler made his first wrestling related appearance at last Thursday’s Florida Championship Wrestling television taping in a loss to Johnny Curtis. Ziggler also worked a live event over the weekend for FCW.
