WWE Champion John Cena recently took to Twitter to address this week’s big sports story regarding Major League Baseball players being suspended for Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs). This also led to Cena defending himself to many fans who accused him of being on PEDs of some kind as well.

Cena addressed former Major League Baseball MVP Ryan Braun being suspended for the rest of the MLB season, tweeting: “Hats off to MLB for putting their foot down against PEDs @SportsCenter @ESPN looks like more headlines on horizon. #playitclean.”

Moments later, Cena felt the need to respond to an onslaught of tweets that asked him about his own past in an industry like pro wrestling where there is a storied history of PED use. “Wow PEDs are quite the topic, lots of Qs 1 tweet will clear it up, yes #Iliftbro @MLB some action > none,” stated Cena. “I am LIFETIME drug free #playitclean.”

Cena finished up by saying, “Remember ladies and gents ‘there is NO substitute for hard work!’ It’s a nice CLEAN snatch!!! #playitclean.”
