– WWE’s Canyon Ceman has been informing up-and-coming talent looking to make it to WWE that they should “make themselves an indy star.” According to Ceman, talent will have a “low chance of getting in through a second tryout,” so they better make their first tryout — if they are lucky enough to get one — count.

Independent talent, at one time, was looked down upon within WWE with the feeling that the style didn’t translate to WWE’s style. Over the years this mentality has changed greatly due to fan’s preference. Originally the company would prefer to train the bigger and higher quality athletes from the get-go.
