As noted, Stephanie McMahon is scheduled to release a memoir later this year. According to PWInsider.com, there is a very specific goal in mind with the release of the book.

Apparently WWE is looking to use the book as a way to garner some outside mainstream publicity and public attention to the fact that Stephanie McMahon is one of the main faces of WWE.

It’s said that when the time comes for Vince McMahon to step down, the company wants to guarantee that there will be a smooth transition and an heir apparent that has already been groomed and that the public and more importantly, company investors, are aware of.

The memoir Stephanie is releasing is a big part of that particular goal. WWE reportedly has a major marketing campaign planned for the book, including some mainstream media appearances and book signings.

Essentially, the memoir is going to be WWE’s way of putting a big mainstream spotlight on Stephanie McMahon as one of the key figures behind the success of the company.
