On Monday night’s edition of RAW in Houston, Texas, Kevin Owens became the new WWE Universal Champion by winning the Fatal-4-Way match for the vacant title that was announced last week.
Following the elimination of Big Cass, who along with Owens was two of the four participants in the match, Triple H appeared out of nowhere and blasted Roman Reigns with a Pedigree, which led to his elimination. This left just Owens and Seth Rollins as the final two competitors.

To the shock of everyone in attendance at the Toyota Center in Houston, just as it seemed Triple H was going to help Rollins secure the title, he blasted him with a Pedigree.
Owens, stunned at what he had just witnessed, eventually capitalized on the situation and covered Rollins for the 1-2-3 to become only the second man ever to hold the new RAW-exclusive championship. After the match, he posed with the title with Triple H.
Ladies and gentlemen, your new WWE Universal Champion — Kevin Owens.
