Beth Lindstrom, who served as an aide to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R), is mounting a bid to challenge Sen. Lindstrom, a former consumer affairs director for Romney, cast herself in a video announcement as an “independent-minded Republican,” saying “there’s plenty of blame to go around” in Washington.

“Don’t get me wrong, there is a time and a place for arguing your point of view,” she said in the video posted Monday. “But eventually, you have to stop the finger pointing and solve the problem.”

Lindstrom is a longtime GOP operative in Massachusetts, previously serving as the director of the state’s Republican Party. She is the latest Republican seeking to challenge Warren for her Senate seat in 2018.

Warren, who was first elected to her seat in 2012, has emerged as one of Trump’s fiercest critics. Speculation has swirled in recent months that the liberal firebrand could launch a White House bid in 2020, though she is planning on running for reelection in the Senate next year.

Among the other Republicans challenging Warren are tech entrepreneur Shiva Ayyadurai and Massachusetts state Rep. Geoff Diehl.
