The New Day have become the most successful Tag Team in WWE History over the past few years, but having broke Demolitions Tag Team title record at the end of last year, it was thought that the trio would be moving away from the group.
According to various reports, this is not the plan. WWE really have no idea what to do with the group and are thinking about a heel turn to freshen up their gimmick. That being said, they are one of WWE’s top merchandise sellers, so a heel turn could ruin their sales, which leaves WWE stuck when it comes to creative ideas for the team.
Instead, it seems as though WWE are hoping to keep the group together and allow the members to have singles success, whilst still being part of a team. A huge singles push for Big E is rumoured for later in 2017, so that could be one of the reasons for this.
All three members of The New Day have already entered into The Royal Rumble match, but don’t expect any of the booty loving stars to come out on top, as it seems a push like that is not yet in the works for these popular superstars.
