WWE recently held another round of tryouts at the WWE Performance Center. Some names are recognizable, others could very well become recognizable one day. Let’s take a look at some potential future superstars, one could be the next WWE Champion.
Hunter McIntyre – Reigning champion of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge show, Spartan Race runner.
Amarlo Herrera – 250-pound linebacker drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Noke Tago – 300-pound Samoan, former defensive tackle.
Raynor Whitcombe – Former football player from New Zealand. Currently a bodybuilder, and won the 2015 BodySpace Spokesmodel Search
Denzel DeJournette – 6-foot-3, 250-pound amateur wrestler, finished 8th in NCAA heavyweight wrestling championships.
Nicolai Salchow – 6-foot-1, 265-pound Brazilian and German kickboxer with a 6-1 MMA streak.
Lindsey Kelly – Swimmer at University of Arizona, claims to have deadlifted 410 pounds and squatted 315 pounds
Reginald Gibbs – Independent wrestler known as Odinson, trained by former WWE star Mr. Hughes
Arthur & Josh Haug – Arthur was a former bodybuilder trained by Impact Pro Wrestling. His brother Josh is a three-time letter winner for wrestling at the University of Iowa.
Nick Brewer – 295-pound strongman who can bend horseshoes, roll steel frying pans, and who pulled a firetruck at the 2009 London’s Strongest Man competition.
Vernon Willis – 6-foot-4, 275-pound California-based wrestling champion.
Andrew Cavanna – 6-foot-1, 220-pound weightlifting and wrestling champion from Connecticut.
Briana Brandy – Hip-Hop artist who has performed with Soulja Boy and the Ying Yang Twins. Also trains in both MMA and CrossFit.
Cody Deaner – Canadian pro wrestler who once competed for WWE in 2004 as Cody Steele, also competed in TNA Wrestling in 2009.
Steve Scott – Worked as “Crazzy” Steve in TNA (Impact) Wrestling. A former TNA Tag Team Champion with 14 years of experience. Trained by NXT Superstar Eric Young.
Paul Bilbo – Former college basketball player, has competed for Absolute Intense Wrestling and CWF Mid-Atlantic as PB Smooth.
Matt King – 6-foot-5, 250-pound model who competes on the indy scene as Raphael King.
Troy Russell – Graduate of professional wrestler Lance Storm.
Tehuti Miles – 210-pound US Army veteran. Served in Afghanistan and played football for the University of Maryland.
Quelton Toliver – Missouri-born, 6-foot-4, 265 pound wrestler.
Christopher & Morgan Hill -Two brothers who played football and are now fitness models.
Elena Pogosayn – Former journalist who has been training under WWE Hall of Famer Johnny Rodz for two years.
Jeslen Mishelle – Blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestles as Desi Derata
Nikii Duke – Bodybuilder, International Federation of Physique Athletes pro, and World Beauty Fitness competitor.
Mike Taverna – Independent wrestler who has competed in CHIKARA, Chaotic Wrestling, and the New York Wrestling Connection.
Marquis Carter – US Army veteran, deployed to both Afghanistan and Korea. Officiated in Florida wrestling organizations.
Haley Kate Yellin – Fitness model with backgrounds in taekwondo, dance, and track.
Will Cuevas – Independent wrestler who has been a referee, and has held the All Pro Wrestling Worldwide Internet Championship. Also a US Marine Corps veteran.
Blake Dees – 240-pound former college football player in Texas Tech and South Alabama.
Micas Harris – Independent wrestler and former football player.
Marshall Williams – 260-pound wrestler and a former aviation ordinanceman in the US Navy. Trained under former WWE star Gillberg.
Zach Johnson – Independent wrestler, second tryout with WWE.
Michael Richards – Independent wrestler from New Zealand who has trained at the Ring of Honor dojo. Sadly not Kramer.
Joe Maples – 6-foot-3, 285 pound former college football player.
Haley Tipton – Former Junior Olympics beach volleyball player and model.
Rawle Chichester – 6-foot-2, 245 pound wrestler.
Abigail Burgdorf – College track athlete and a powerlifter.
We shall see if any other these participants will be signed to any sort of contract soon. Be on the lookout for any of these superstars because they could appear on NXT or any of the big shows for WWE sometime very soon.
