WWE Signs ‘Ninja Warrior’ Star, Carmella/Cass News, Kavita Devi

WWE has been announcing several different signings all week long. These new WWE stars have included the likes of Ricochet, War Machine, and Candice LeRae. While wrestling stars such as Ethan Carter III, Bobby Lashley, and Serena Deeb are expected to join WWE any day now, an unexpected signing has just been confirmed. WWE just announced that gymnast Kacy Catanzaro has signed a deal with the company. Catanzaro competed on the “American Ninja Warrior” television show back in 2014. She has been training at the Performance Center recently, and she appeared at the Mae Young Classic tapings last year as well. She will now begin her training to become a true WWE performer.

There has been a lot of speculation on the current status of the relationship between Big Cass and Carmella lately. The two had been dating ever since their days in NXT, but recent rumors have suggested that the two have split up. Finally, Carmella elaborated on the breakup during a recent episode of Total Divas. Carmella revealed that their decision to purchase a house together created some problems, and she also indicated that Cass had no plans to marry her. Big Cass’ recent injury and time away from WWE also seemed to spell the end for the relationship. Prior to the airing of the episode, Carmella wrote on Instagram that Cass “will always hold a special place in [her] heart.”
Fans of last year’s Mae Young Classic tournament on the WWE Network may remember a competitor by the name of Kavita Devi. A YouTube video of a match featuring herself and Dakota Kai received high viewership numbers, and this may be one of the reasons why WWE has signed her. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed that WWE signed Devi due to her popularity in the widely-populated country of India. Jinder Mahal’s WWE Championship reign from last year was also reportedly done by WWE in an attempt to capitalize on the market in India. Devi will be reporting to the Performance Center for further training later on this month.
