Rollins Not Injured, Tyson Kidd on Samoa Joe, Women’s Rumble News

Seth Rollins was recently reported to be working through an injury. If true, this would mean that he and his tag team partner Jason Jordan are injured, possibly putting their tag team title reign and rumored WrestleMania match in jeopardy. The Wrestling Observer recently claimed that Rollins is dealing with a bad back at the moment. For what it’s worth, Rollins himself recently took to Twitter to address the injury reports. Rollins claims that there is nothing wrong with his back and he event went as far as to label the reports as ‘fake news’. An injury kept Rollins out of WrestleMania 32 in 2016, and another injury almost cost him the chance to compete at WrestleMania 33 last year. Be sure to stay tuned for all of the latest updates on Seth Rollins.

Guys, my back is fine. Has been fine. #fakenews

Tyson Kidd has not been seen in the ring for several years now, but there is a good reason for that. Kidd suffered one of the most deadly in-ring injuries ever when he faced Samoa Joe in a dark match back in 2015. Joe’s Muscle Buster finisher caused Kidd to receive a brutal neck injury. The injury forced Kidd to receive 16 staples, 4 screws, and a large rod inserted into his neck. Kidd’s doctor has even told him that only 5% of people survive the injury he received. Tyson Kidd recently commented on if he has any animosity towards Joe for ending his in-ring career. Kidd cleared the air by stating that he has no rivalry with Joe, and by revealing that the two have moved past the accident.

I have zero animosity with Samoa Joe. I found him my first day back at WWE after my injury and we had a very good heart to heart. I wish him nothing but the best https://t.co/LpVSnGeoYQ

The first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match saw 30 different female WWE stars from the past and present compete for a chance to challenge a women’s titleholder at WrestleMania. The match saw Asuka emerge as the winner by eliminating the returning Nikki Bella. Believe it or not, some personnel in WWE were against Asuka winning the match. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that the company debated back and fourth over who should win the women’s Royal Rumble match: Asuka or Nia Jax. Obviously, the company decided to go with Asuka and keep her undefeated streak intact. It appears as though Ronda Rousey winning the match was never in the plans.
